Strategic Hiring For A Changing Wheel & Brake Industry
Nasco is pleased to announce the following recent additions to its staff:Joseph M. Patko, Director, Business Development, brings with him nearly 10 years of valuable aircraft wheel and brake engineering and marketing experience. He began his career at Bendix Wheels and Brakes Division (now Honeywell) in South Bend, Indiana USA, as a Research and Development Engineer, responsible for component and friction material development. He later served as Project Engineer on all Airbus wheel and brake programs.
His responsibilities included design responsibility from conceptualization through qualification, and then on into field support. He later held various positions in sales and marketing, such as Business Manager and Strategic Planner where he successfully linked his strong technical background with the changing needs of the airline industry.
Thomas E. Pratt, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, a pilot and aerospace engineer has more than 20 years of aircraft wheel and brake industry experience. Tom's has held various engineering and sales positions. He worked his way up from project engineer to Chief Engineer while employed by Parker Hannifin. After joining Honeywell he was promoted to Manager of Sales, Marketing, and Strategic Planning.
His experience includes both airline and airframe manufacturers and has covered everything from general aviation to large commercial transports. He has been involved in programs as varied as the Boeing AH-64 attack helicopter, Boeing V-22 tilt rotor, Joint Strike Fighter, Airbus A320, and Boeing B777. During Tom's tenure, he has established many valuable contacts and relationships with both airline operators and airframe manufacturers. He is viewed as an expert in the industry and has developed the reputation for understanding and satisfying customer's needs.
